First, of course, the requisite cosy-patterns. A cell phone cozy for the Man let me practice doing something more complicated than casting on and off. Next, an iPod sock for my little sis' Xmas stocking. I attempted a really nifty armwarmer pattern (a snowflake that morphs into a skull), but the colours I'd picked were Much too bright for the subject matter... and my first attempts at two-coloured knitting left much to be desired. The armwarmers were put aside for the worst of this last semester, but in the death thralls of finals, I got enthusiastic again.

Now, a bookshelf is nicely decorated with a Gryphon wine-bottle cozy, and my Man's head is kept warm at night by a Jughead hat.
My current project/obsession is the pair of legwarmers I've been working on for the last few weeks. When completed, they will be super-nifty, including a pair of pom-poms dangling off each. At the moment, there is one legwarmer completed (which keeps a singular leg very warm and toasty) and another one half-done.

As this project taught me the ever-so-difficult cabling (note the sarcasm), I'm seeing a whole bunch of manly sweaters in my future! Not before I've completed a couple of tanks for myself, a super-sexy skirt and at Least a pair of lacy armwarmers. I've got a list of patterns (Ravelry.com - username=faeyakim) to knit so long, I should be done sometime around my PhD!!!
